The game i was waiting for !

Very excited by the game for now ! I love the control scheme and I find it very natural. You can control the ships with your hand, it reminds me of when I was a kid and I was playing with a plastic ship toy... But this time I don't have to imagine anything, because the ship is really flying in my hand, in this bright and colorful space, ready to shoot some nergals (the bad guys). The solo campagn was kinda fun and surprisingly not boring, because even if the main goal is essentially flying and shooting (with variations, like escorting other ship, protecting objectives, destroying every ennemy ships etc), it is done in a way that feels right. There is a nice variety of environments like deep space, cold planet surfaces, abandonned space station, a nergal factory etc. The game itself can be kinda difficult if you want it to be. (Try to get the gold medals of every level to unlock a special skin to your main menu, it might takes you a few try ! :p ) But if you just want to run through the game at the speed of light then put on the easy mode by decreasing the dogfight intensity in the settings, and dont bother with the gold, it will still be very enjoyable and a great way to first approach the game. That was for the solo campaign ! But there is more, because the game also come with a multiplayer mode with several gamemode. If you want to play with or against your friends (or random strangers), then go for it ! And unlock skins for your ship or your avatar by doing so. The skins for your ship are visible in third or first person too, so you will always be able to enjoy them. By the way, I was suprised how nice the first person view is, because I know it was not supposed to be there at first, but it is now very natural to fly with. Well, I can't wait to see what's coming up in the futur for this game !

Very fun Single Player but Multiplayer..

3rd Person flight mechanics are very tight and feel great, amazing graphics but multiplayer needs some work. Please, please, PLEASE add an option for private multiplayer, practically every multiplayer game on Quest has an option for private games with password and was shocked when there was zero multiplayer options beyond picking a game mode, I couldn't even select which level to play. Also co-op mode, I don't know if my expectations were too high but I was expecting the single player campaign available for co-op but it's just a single level where everyone chases down two bots flying around. Still, the main issue for me is private games, new players especially won't want to play when at any moment a high level player can just join and ruin their game.

All around great game! Great Devs too!

EDIT/UPDATED REVIEW I initially had a issue when trying to play my first mutliplayer games . Said I had low bandwidth and connection issues even though its wasn't my internet . I was salty because I wanted to play multi-player and left a review here asking for help . 5 minutes later I had a response and the issue was solved! The Dev that helped me even jumped in my game and gave me some gameplay pointers !! Idk bout you guys but to me thats awesome! These Devs legit cared about my experience in there game!So far my initial impressions are that its a very well polished well made game from everything from graphics quality to character voice overs . The controls are awesome and the ships handle well . I like how you steer and operate your ship and its main weapon system with the right controller and target and control the ships secondary weapons system with the left controller. Can't wait to get off this review and jump into multiplayer ! See you guys there !!! Can't wait to see what the future holds for this game as well as other upcoming titles from these devs!

May the Force be with you!

I know this isn't StarWars, but the multi-player death match is basically what the 1980s child-version of myself has been waiting for all his life! 1st person PvP in multi-player is super fun and the controls are incredibly precise. The game play graphics are colorful and have a bit of a Robotech look to them. Very cool! As an 80s baby, this is the most fun I've had since getting my Oculus Quest 2 over a year ago! Thanks for this! 5/5 and am super sad that I've got to work tomorrow!

More Fun Than SW Squadrons!

Sure, it may not look as good as Star Wars Squadrons, or have the allure of a multi-billion dollar franchise behind it, but Anshar 2 is more fun to play, and a great game for fans of arcade space sims!
