Lifesaver!

I used this app as a last resort at work! I am a nurse and had a patient post op who was experiencing a allergic reaction to anesthesia. Her brain raed telling her that her body was on fire! We fought for forty minutes! We couldn't break it....All I could think was grabbing my Oculous and this app. It was able to calm her within ten minutes, she was asleep! No extra meds! She was able to go home instead of meds, breathing tube and icu stay! Amazing!

Fantastic VR EXPERIENCE

The graphics and scenery are awesome. A great experience for 1st time VR users. Feels like you are really moving on the river. I like the birds and the water effects are great. Keep up the great work. Definitely a 5 star plus. *****

Really good but....

I really enjoyed this app, particularly the night mode, but please please please drop the fairies should you ever do an update. I don't know what you were thinking about there? I believe there has been other commitments as to how bad the fairies are. If you do get rid of them then you'll get an extra star from me.

Relaxing river ride, minus the controls

One day while just randomly browsing through the vast Go library, I just so happened to stumble upon the realization that Polyraw was the developer responsible for what looked like three pretty cool experiences: Terror Cave, Relax River, and Dream Journey. Considering that all three of these titles were reasonably priced, I just went ahead and purchased them all sight unseen. Almost like a trilogy, if you will. As such, this review will act as one part of a three-part review. Relax River was one I was looking forward to, although I was worried that it would seem derivative of all the other numerous meditative/calming/nature apps available in the Go store. In some ways it is, but in the ways that matter most, it is unique. For starters, the graphics I thought were tremendous. The quality of the water lapping, the design of the boat you ride in, the details and nuances of the environment, and the backgrounds are all so well done. I liked the choice of daytime and nighttime modes; the experience is so different based on this selection. Put your headphones on while hooked up to a separate device, and there is some great music that can accompany this ride. Overall, this app is a success. The main criticism here is in the controls and the movement. Your boat acceleration is dependent on your Go remote, and this implementation is clunky. I do like how the speed is not too slow or too fast; they got that part right. There is also some really cool flight movement you can do where you raise and lower yourself back into the boat. I thought that was a nice touch. But overall, the controls leave a bit to be desired. As for the movement, it is mostly fluid and gliding but there is some annoying choppiness throughout that did break the immersion some for me. I wouldn’t say it’s enough to discourage you from getting this title, but it’s worth noting. Weighing all of those factors together, Relax River is definitely one to pick up at the cheap price tag if you want a nice, relaxing experience to unwind with.

The update is fantastic

Wow it now looks amazing guys thank you for the fantastic update 5 stars, you really did some great work on this app ,the update has made the water look amazing. And the app works very well on the oculus go. Top marks guys for a truly remarkable app. You got the update spot on ,10 out of 10 . You have now made this app a remarkable experience. Thank you guys for working out the bugs . ( will you be adding more rivers? ) and maybe more animals? I understand it’s an older app but with all the new headsets now on the market this app could and should win some awards. I don’t think many people know this app exists.
