I want more

This game hits all the notes for me. Decent amount of gun fire (I don’t think they needed to ash that element for 2 but it wasn’t overkill). I actually am not clear on the story line… there’s lots of cards and notes to read, and much of it is about story, and not helpful to solutions. I wasn’t really there for the story. I played these games for the puzzles, the sci-fi, and the absolutely stunning visuals. This game ruined all other games thus far because of how well-done it is - everything else looks cheap, blocky, and unrealistic by comparison. It’s certainly has a “WTF” element, which I like. What else can I find that feels as immersive? Hard to beat.

Astonishing!!!!

The graphic, the story, the new features like the arms and able to levitate, the controls they all are amazing. The difficulty and the imagination of the challenges... it is perfect!!!! Lot of fun, each room is very detail with a lot of objects to interact. Sometimes I just stop to look around at the scenery... so well done.

Well...once I figured out how to use the jet pack, I was away. I played the first red matter and really enjoyed it but this one blew me away. the graphics are amazing especially the grand scale of some of the scenery. there is far more interaction, granted some of the tasks took some figuring out....( I cheated a bit and had a look at the walk through on you tube...SHHHH don't tell anyone ) I'm absolutely loving it and not even halfway through... just got the gun, blew my toes of a couple of times but hey ho! if your looking for a shoot 'em up arcade game this isn't for you.. the task with the laser terminals are piggin difficult but worth it when you crack them. can't wait for the next chapter. All in all I would recommend this game and definitely worth every penny ( plus I got it on offer lol! ) Enjoy

Great game!

If you find games like this tedious and boring, that's understandable. But not all of us want to play games where the main objective is to kill everything in sight. To each their own, but if that's the entire premise of your 1-star review, then you're likely hating the genre, not the game itself IMO. That being said, I'm about halfway through this game and what I love about it (besides the amazing graphics and overall visuals, not to mention how precise the controllers and hand movements are) is how solvable the puzzles are. They are challenging enough to make you think and work for it, but not so much that I wanted to rage quit or cheat and look up the answers. I found the pace and storyline perfect for my preferences. EDIT: I completed this game today. Took a few hours a day over several days, but I'm glad I stuck with it. The overall playability of this game is fantastic. I usually don't enjoy the combat sequences in games either, but this one only had limited areas requiring combat and were quite easily defeated which I enjoyed. That ending....did not see that coming! I don't think it's something I would play again as it's much more fun not knowing what is coming next, at least in my limited VR gaming experience. Another win for the devs, keep them coming please 🙏😀

Incredibly Enjoyable for Newbies...

I am not much of a gamer. FPS and games where you have to spend hours crafting things is not something I enjoy. Red Matter 2 (I did not play Red Matter 1) hits every checkmark for me. It is visually stunning. The details down to reflections of items are so detailed. The puzzles are fun and for about 2/3 of the game are solvable with a normal human mind. lol I needed to get help from YT. But that makes it fun for me. If I am stuck for more than an hour I will look for help and then the "ahhhhh that's how you do it" is enjoyable too. Some of the things that make it difficult is the accuracy of the gun, the jetpack takes time to get used too, and it is tedious that you have to use it to go up a tiny step. Some of the puzzles that require you to accomplish a skill can be hard too as you have to be precise and that can get tedious. But it is fun. And I also enjoy the way you can sometimes solve a puzzle more than one way with the things round you. It is cool to look around a room like a normal person and try to figure out how you can accomplish something by using a number of things in the room. And on top of all that, it is a good story. They can do so many spin-offs with this. I am looking forward to more from these developers. (note: I did find a glitch in one part of the game where there was a battery charger in a drawer. I picked it up and dropped it on accident, and it just disappeared. So I had to restart from the previous save.)
