It's fun until they slap you with micros

It’s a good fishing game, and it was nice to get to fish again since I can’t IRL thanks to being put in a wheelchair, but they give you this whole spiel about going through the journey and becoming the greatest fisherman, blah blah blah, and then only give you the first five parts of the journey, and you can’t progress without buying DLC. Let me reiterate that they only give you MAYBE 30 minutes of content in the base game, and then you can’t go further without giving them more money. I got mine through Horizon+, but that is ridiculous, make the main game included or don’t make the game. It’s not a campaign if it’s locked behind a paywall; it’s a grift with a chance to sample it first.

WAS Absolutely the best Fishing game

This used to be a great game. Now the devs are turning it into a pay-to-play cash grab. They’re sucking the fun right out of what this game used to be. Greed ruins everything eventually, and it looks like this game finally caught the disease. What was once a relaxing game is now stuffed full of monetization systems begging for your real money. Dumb outfits, overpriced rods, constant pushes to spend. I never had a problem buying DLCs to support the game. That’s normal. But what they’re doing now isn’t support… they’re elbow-deep in your wallet. And don’t just take my word for it. Go read the real reviews, not the suspicious flood of shiny fake 5-star ones. The admins and devs are blowing smoke up your tail pipe trying to convince everyone this is somehow good for the game while quietly building a bigger paywall every update. Then you’ve got people like “Susy” running around ruining rooms for everyone else while nothing gets done about it. I already posted a list of over 20 game developers that went belly-up in the last few years after switching to aggressive pay-to-play models. This game looks like it’s heading down the exact same road. At this point it feels like they’re just squeezing the community for quick cash so they can fund the next game they’re pushing… which will probably have the same paywall garbage baked into it. Same story. Different game.

Another disable Veteran.

I agree with Rooster. I have been on this game myself for quiet awhile.I have tried to have conversations with other's myself, but have had no success. I am 84 and can no longer enjoy going out in my boat. All my children are grown with there own families. I only see one Son now and again. I have Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, but my visits are Face time, That isn't the same as holding them or interacting. I could go on, but I think one would get the picture. When I ask for assistance from Monitor's, I am ignored, but I will hang in there, because this is my only form of entertainment. What else can I do, I am 100% disable and my days of fishing, or traveling, etc are over. I will say goodnight for now.

Gone downhill

I used to love this game. In fact it was the very first vr game I purchased. Im a disabled man and cant get out much. For a long time the game felt sooo real like I was almost there. And now it just seems like yall are pretty much just focused on micro transactions and all the kiddies stuff. So I hate to say it but......unfortunately I most likely won't be playing much anymore if at all.

Disappointed

Sadly it's now a cash cow with the last release of DLC'S being bland and repetitive. Was originally a great game. Instead of new DLC"s the existing game mechanics should of been fixed first such as the casting and the many glitches that now occur. Also I got very concerned about the abuse you often receive on there in multi player including the N word etc ...I dont bother with it anymore and the rest of my family have also gave up on it and took our kids off it due to the abuse. It's a shame as originally it was safe and enjoyable but not anymore sadly *** Update *** Im.sorry but your reply is just empty words. Sadly I witnessed what happened to the young 16 year old girl yesterday after she put up two screen shots showing she was being bullied on your Facebook group which you yourself are admin on. You let them call her alsorts and bully that poor girl so it's certainly not family friendly. I have to say it's not the first time ive witnessed this sort of behaviour on there and certainly would not want anyone let alone a young girl get treated like that.
