one star not recommended terrible graphics terrible community everybody is so toxic one kid went out of this way to call me n word hard r this game is the worst game i think i've ever played it's way worse than. The gorilla tag fan base do not play it's a waste of space and almost everything in the game cost money it's just a stupid tycoon knock off grow garden. this is how for starters it's a tycoon second off it has a shop and where things have a rare chance of coming in and it's so hard to make money and then you buy one thing and then the game is just boring and you just do the same thing again and again and again and again and again do not get it it is terrible

Congrats for making me break a sweat playing VR since Gorilla Tag. The grind was not worth it. To put it simply, Punch Party is a mindless slog of a tycoon, posing as a workout/fighting game. The gameplay loop was fun at first, you grind up your strength level, and put it to the test by knocking various items into the stratus with your fists alone, but the longer you play for, the more damning it becomes that it is just trying to put you in a constant stasis of wanting progress, but never getting it. In the game, there are a multitude of items that can be bought to be added to your gym, each having a supply in which they run out of stock for. At least, that’s what they want you to think. In reality, each restocking event (which happens every 2 1/2 minutes) randomly makes things either in or out of stock, without rhythm or reason. Curiously enough, items are less likely to be in stock the rarer they are, which if you know anything about supply and demand, makes absolutely no sense. This leaves your strength leveling stuck at a linear degree, which is not easy to wrap your head around thanks to the quantitive degree items in-game tend to follow. The game also seems like it’s constantly fighting for your attention. There are a plethora of trends and memes wedged into the game, with varying levels of relevancy, which will only get more dated over time. The entire PVE game mode is fought against Tralalero Tralala, for pete’s sake. It’s like jingling keys, and it drives me up the wall. But hey, the combat’s good, isn’t it? It’s gotta be! It’s the whole point of the game- Huh? What’s that? Oh. The combat’s not good. The gloves are jank, they clip through the floor when you form a fist, which causes some funny, yet immersion-breaking bugs, the system that determines whether a hit is hard or not is much too strict, and the very things you strike either don’t move far away enough to suggest an impact, or are knocked so far back in response that you’d have better luck catching lightning in a bottle than striking it twice. Overall, this game is incredibly disappointing. I come in, expecting a chaotic gambit with fists swinging in all directions, with intricate maps aplenty to complement the rage, and I get game better suited for Roblox than the Meta Quest store. Unbelievable.

Punch Party is another VR game that uses the same boring, mindless Gorilla Tag movement and tries to blend it with a fighting game and fails miserably once it starts to really prioritize the AI slop riddled throughout the already bad game, the ridiculously overpriced cosmetics that look like something straight out of a Dollar Tree PS2 game, the lame gameplay that takes no skill and can easily be exploited if you team with other people or spam fly away and generally do things that have no counterplay to them and the obnoxious playerbase that is the rejects of the worst parts of Gorilla Tag. Easily missable and should easily be kept that way.
