A completely honest, but positive review
I received this game for an honest review. I honestly enjoyed the game, but here's why. When you first get into the game, you are directed to choose your controls, and create your character. The character models are not fantastic, but that is not a slam on the gameplay. Then, you get into the game. The train crashes admist an attack. People are running, screaming, the tunnels you travel in will crumble--completely apocalyptic scenarios. You have limited supplies you can carry at any given time, and you must allocate as such. Resource management is huge in the game, but so is discovery. When I played it a second and third time, I wandered around the lobby prior to starting the game. I spent over 30 mins just wandering around the lobby. There is a large amount of things you can do in the game! You can go into the game with a group. You can play an arcade style level for each part of the game after you complete it. You can utilize a map editor and create your own maps. This is from an independent developer and games are truly hard to make, including ones of this scope. I didn't care that the graphics for certain parts of the game were not up to the same level as games on PCVR or Rift. It was the experience, running through the dark, sacrificing supplies, being alone in the unknown. The experience outweighed any graphical or even partial gameplay issues. This is, honestly, one of my favorite Oculus Quest 2 games. Is it at the top? No, but it is one of my favorites, and even if you are laughing about the game, it is still extremely fun. I highly recommend it, and you should really give it a spin. It is much better alone, but from some of the videos I've seen of groups playing it, they were enjoying the game too, even if it was in a different light.
