Exceeded expectations

Since i got this game i’ve been playing it non stop. The pixel art looks cool and the gameplay is fast and smooth. It’s easy to pick up but definitely challenging if you’re aiming for high scores. The soundtrack adds to the vibe. If you’re into challenging yet fun VR games that feel like a workout, this one’s totally worth checking out! It’s addictive and great time for any gamer.

Good start but visuals need work

I picked this up yesterday and tried it out. Gameplay seems very straightforward, (although I'm not sure what "reaching over my right shoulder" to do something-or-other with the camera actually does - nothing seemed to happen) The physics are clean and consistent, and the level design is thoughtful. The biggest downfall of Pixel Arcade is the visuals. I'm not talking about the graphics design; I realize that they're intended to be minimal and low-poly. The entire visual presentation suffers from graininess and stutter. I was surprised to see it, especially given the simplicity of the graphics. As you turn your head, move and adjust your perspective, all images slightly stutter. Lines don't remain clean and everything has a grainy, incomplete look. This becomes even more accentuated when looking at objects in the distance. Visuals don't drop in and drop out, but their definition does. Defining lines and edges become choppy and discontinuous, even though you can still see the object. FWIW, I'm playing on a Q3. Unfortunately, it kind of ruins immersion. You don't feel like you are in the game. Instead, you feel like you are looking at a screen. I'll play this a bit more but may ultimately send it back.
