Pioneer: Endless Journey is an FPS Roguelite game on a floating island in the sky. You can collect and combine weapon parts of pistol to create many various combinations. Some make each other explosively better, but some kill each other. You would need to try hard for the best combination. You can also throw orbs with special skill. There are some useful machines throughout the island. You even may be able to move forward avoiding all attacks with your awesome movements.
You can have a completely different map every time you try. Each of your choices will determine the future. There will never be the same map and islands. Like your weapon combination, your combat experience will be different every time. You can't win with the same strategy.
Retry and retry to defeat all monsters and bosses. You will keep getting stronger and stronger.

I love this game, but I have two complaints. The lack of variety and that there is no pause button. You see the same items a lot, but I think this will most likely be fixed in the future. The game would better with a larger selection of parts and more enemies. The lack of a pause is annoying at times, especially when something requires your immediate attention. Aside from these two issues, the game is very fun.

This game is Super Fun! Pioneer: Endless Journey has got the worst name ever, but the game is super fun to play on the Quest 2. Even better? It's FREE. This genre mashup of a steampunk, western, cartoon, first person shooter is never the same game twice and all kinds of fun to play. You've got a customizable gun with all sorts of combinations possible and orb grenades that add an extra element to this fun mix. You never know what gun pieces you're gonna get or which orb, so it's fun trying to make the best weapon you can. You have to change tactics depending on your loadout. That keeps it interesting. So far, I'm 0-4 against the final Boss. It really needs three things- Change the name to something that doesn't evoke images of some covered wagon on the Oregon trail. Love the game. The upgrading of the guns reminds me of borderlands if you could control the algorithm. I will echo the main killer of the fun for me is the lack of smooth turning. I play most of my games from bed, and the twitchy 30 degree minimum kills the flow of the game for me. I also hope more map variety is in the design. I don't mean the looks, I mean the layouts. I think I got to map four before it started recycling. But it would be very cool if it'd start you in different worlds each time. A big killer of my replay ability in all rogue likes is starting on the same level every time. It just makes restarting a grind. It's a bad trope, IMHO. All in all though, the game, the casual style, the guns, and the powers are all very enjoyable. I look forward to seeing where this game goes from here!

When i first saw this game it looked cool and it was free so i got it idk if the creator has given up on this because this is really good and it’s been released for at least 2 years and still no second world but for a free game this is awsome and should be seen way more the only problem with this is that there is not much replay value and if there were more to it i this would be one of my favorite games i have played on my quest so far
