Requirements

● an iOS device (iPhone or iPad) with the LIV mobile app installed ● a Wi-Fi connection (ideally 5 GHz) ● 1 or more Oculus MRC supported games, listed here - https://creator.oculus.com/mrc/

How It Works

The app connects your headset to the LIV app on your mobile device. From there you can align your controllers, start a game and start watching.

LIV Connect offers:

● connecting to the LIV app on your mobile device via Wi-Fi ● in-app camera frame to align controllers for optimal VR syncing

End of LIV mobile

I tried to download Liv mobile on my iPhone for quest 3, but the app no longer exists, apparently the Beta phase has ended. a shame since it is the app that worked best for mixed reality. I give it three stars because it gave me a lot of fun and I'm sad that it ended forever on mobile.

Close, maybe?

This seems to have potential. However, I feel like there needs to be a comprehensive, step-by-step tutorial on how apps such as this facilitate these incredibly complex technical processes in a way normal people can understand. Between all the tutorials by indie YouTubers and the vague information posted on the LIV blog, it results in mass confusion. So at the end of the day, I'm still not sure if I need to connect my phone to make this work, since it's advertised as a mobile app, if OBS is required, or exactly what I need to do maximize its potential. More importantly and frustratingly, I still have no idea of what's the way for me personally to get up and running with mixed reality.
