Lethal Ape Redux

A fast-paced, actively developed physics-based horror experience.

Overview

Lethal Ape Redux is a rebuilt, modern take on movement-driven survival horror. Explore abandoned, atmospheric environments while being hunted by relentless Apes that react instantly, adapt to your behavior, and never stop once they’ve found you.

You run.
You climb.
You hide.

But once an Ape locks onto you, escape turns into a full-speed panic run where every movement decision matters. {"height":1440,"type":"image","width":2560}

Redux is built around tighter mechanics, smarter enemies, and frequent improvements driven by an active player community.

Core Gameplay

Physics-Based Movement

Inspired by Gorilla Tag.
Climb walls, vault obstacles, and swing through each environment using momentum, timing, and pure movement skill. Mastery means survival. {"height":1440,"type":"image","width":2560}

Stealth and Survival

Stay quiet. Stay alert.
The Apes track sound, motion, and line of sight. One mistake is all it takes to start a chase.

Unpredictable Enemies

Apes don’t follow scripted patterns.
They search, flank, investigate noise, and adapt to how you play, keeping every encounter tense and unpredictable.

Why Play

  • Fast, expressive movement
  • Intense, high-speed chase sequences
  • Dark, unsettling environments
  • Smart, aggressive enemies that keep pressure on you

Run. Climb. Survive. And whatever you do — don’t get spotted.

A Message About Lethal Ape I'm making this because I'm tired of seeing the same thing happen over and over. Lethal Ape wasn't created overnight. The developer spent countless hours building the game, creating its atmosphere, monsters, mechanics, and community. After everything the creator dealt with—including hackers, asset theft, and constant copies—they still continued working on Lethal Ape Redux. Now we're seeing more games appear that look almost identical, with similar monsters, gameplay, maps, and style. That's not pushing the horror genre forward—it's just following someone else's work too closely. There's nothing wrong with taking inspiration from a game. Every developer gets inspired by something. But there's a difference between inspiration and imitation. If you're making something that people instantly recognize as "basically Lethal Ape," maybe it's time to step back and ask yourself what you are bringing to the table. Original developers deserve recognition for their ideas. They deserve respect for the time they invested. They shouldn't have to watch their work get copied over and over while someone else claims the spotlight. I've talked with Xevacore, and while they're not worried about every individual use of a credited model, it's understandable that seeing game after game imitate Lethal Ape would be frustrating. If you want to become a respected developer, don't build your reputation by chasing someone else's success. Create your own monsters. Create your own maps. Create your own mechanics. Create something people remember because you made it—not because it reminds them of another game. Support originality. Respect developers. Give credit where it's due.

Doesn’t work for me?

When I join nothing happens it’s just the “lethal ape R” words on screen but before I could play it I don’t know why it doesn’t work now
