House of Secrets

House of Secrets presents a VR puzzle platformer game with combat elements that will have the player traverse the remnants of an ancient civilization on a distant planet. Throughout your journey through alien landscapes, a story will unfold.

The game holds an abstract aesthetic that has become characteristic for the studio through their earlier VR experiences such as APEX and Surge. Lively colours, intuitive gameplay and interesting level design set the tone for KIN, in which the player moves through the world as a mysterious, tiny girl with big hair clad in a bright dress. Defeating enemies and solving puzzles, she leaps from platform to platform, travelling through different landscapes.

I love the unique perspective of the game. Also, the controls and visual style are superb! You can really tell a lot of passion and hard work went into making this. I highly recommend this beautiful and challenging game!

Hidden masterpiece

This game is a true gem not only in gameplay. This is one of very few games that allows for graphics settings to be changed. On the Oculus Go this game looks amazing and is just so fun to play. Feels like I'm controlling someone in a micro machines world, has the miniature look and feel. Very addicting. Seemed very hard to play at first because it wasn't clear how to fight and what to do. Didn't tell too long however to figure it out and now it's one of my favorite games. Highly recommended.

This game is a masterpiece!

Kin is a beautiful, fun and challenging action platformer! The world feels so alive. And man is it beautiful to look at, and interesting to explore. The controls are tight, the UI is slick, and the options menu is the best I have seen on the Go so far. Every game should have the graphics options Kin has. One thing to keep in mind if you are playing on a Go: your hardware can handle much more than the default settings. Be sure to set anti-aliasing to 4x, and bump that resolution up to 80-90%. It makes a huge difference. Everything about this game is well done and polished. I'd call this the Go's killer app!

Falling simulator

Do you like falling off ledges repeatedly, like 200 times? Do you hate your life? If so, Kin is your type of game. Kin = Dark Souls "You are dead" x Super Meat Boy. Restart, restart, restart. Your main character loses health even in shallow water, guess he's related to the Wicked Witch of the West. Game never bothers to inform you about charged melee or ranged. First monster rushes you and explodes with a huge AOE, second monster charges and bumps you off the stage. You always have to dodge first. Good luck navigating the VR terrain with your compulsory controller. Game looks nice but don't bother buying this at full price or even half price. You can finish this in 1 go, use your money for a cup of Joe instead.
