Emmy Winning Invasion! lands on the Quest. A Free VR short film narrated by Ethan Hawke, has been remastered for Oculus Quest. When two bumbling aliens, Mac & Cheez, land on Earth to begin their conquest it looks like nothing can stand in their way. Instead, they are thwarted by two adorable bunnies. Invasion is a 6 minute family friendly movie.

Eric Darnell, Director of Madagascar, first had the idea for the bunnies facing off against the aliens after watching the 1953 film, War of the Worlds. Combining the concept of these heroic bunnies with the slapstick Laurel and Hardy antics of the two aliens, INVASION! highlights the bumbling nature of invaders who fail to account for the least among us when drawing up their attack plans. Invasion! has been remastered for the Oculus Quest with new bonus content and hand-tracking.

It never claimed to be anything else

I don’t know why people think they should rate this animation purely because they didn’t pay attention what they were downloading. It never claimed to be a game, it tells you that it’s a short 3D animation, and that’s what it is. If you don’t like it that’s fine, just don’t blame it for not being what it isn’t. For myself, I enjoyed it, it’s short and entertaining, worth the free minute imo

I accepted a game

I saw the picture that it was free and assumed oh this is probably a good cute wholesome game likely short but still a playable game, after looking at the description I was thinking oh it probably has something to do and interact with characters, maybe just a button to press or something. but no I was trying to do something with the rabit I tried to do something to the aliens when they got close, nothing. the olny evidence I existed was that the characters noticed that I was there twice in the whole thing. I will however say the thing was very cute and well animated. P.S. I'm sorry for the mostly negative review but I'm just upset it probably was a misunderstanding on my end but overall 10/10 short film

Great to see this old VR movie properly

I first seen this on the Go about 2 years ago and even then it was old as VR goes, got the Quest and the only way to watch it was a stream on You Tube. Finally to watch it in proper downloaded High HD is so much better :) Yes, the film is short but Invasion was a showcase of how VR 3D movies could be so much better than any Imax. Stunning little film :)

Dont get the low ratings

First of all it is pretty clear this is an animation short, not a game. AND IT IS FREE! What are you complaining about? Secondly, it is really cute, fun, well animated and pretty to look at. 10/10 for me. Love showing this to people when they are getting into VR. It is a great first step and even for VR pros like me it is fun and relaxing.

but if the last version of the game was over a year ago, how can this be an "anniversary edition" since it hasn't been updated at all and it's the same as last year??? just click on the release notes, the latest update and one year ago
