About
- Put on gloves.
- Place two test tubes in a 12-groove plate.
- Add salt water to each of the two test tubes.
- Add a free drop of phenolphthalein indicator or BTB indicator to each of the salted test tubes. (Do not add two indicators to one test tube.) .
- Place the salt bridge in both test tubes.
- Place the carbon rod in two test tubes.
- Connect the + and - poles of the carbon rod and the battery with a piece of wire.
- Observe the change. Change the electrodes and observe.
