I never expected a true crime story could blend with podcasts and transform into a mixed reality experience. The overall tone and atmosphere are spot-on, with carefully crafted spatial video that looks stunning. As the narrative unfolded, I couldn’t help shouting “OMG… Don’t do that!”half expecting some gruesome imagery. Luckily, it was just my imagination running wild. Instead of graphic violence, characters are portrayed through shadows, which adds a dramatic touch without being gory. In the end, it’s simply brilliant. Are we listening to a podcast, or are we playing a game? The answer is: both! This fresh take on an interactive podcast feels truly innovative and honestly, it’s just so cool.

This is how they market it: “A true crime podcast, reimagined for mixed reality.” What it actually feels like: sitting through the world’s longest first-year detective class presentation. The idea sounds incredible — building miniature crime scenes, exploring famous cases hands-on — but the execution is painfully dull. There’s no real interaction beyond placing a few objects while being talked at by a woman who might as well be reading her thesis aloud. Carol K. Ras, the host and “miniaturist,” never once draws you into the illusion. She just stands there, explaining things in a flat, Scholastic tone, like she’s grading herself. For a mixed reality title, there’s shockingly little “reality” or “mix.” The set design is sterile, the engagement minimal, and the fashion choices distracting. If you’re going to cover Victorian murders or 1940s crimes, commit — dress the part, build the world. Give us atmosphere, not a TED Talk. It’s a brilliant concept with lifeless execution. Thank God it was free — and thank God I could uninstall it as fast as I did.

Finally, something new and interesting in VR. Not a kiddie meme game, no survival horror, not a buggy early access mess! This really showcases how storytelling can come to life in this medium. I loved the first episode and can’t wait for the rest. These Devs deserve support! I would gladly pay for this type of content. The VR ecosystem is getting a bit stale with the same old, same old. This type of experience is more adult themed versus kid focused. I enjoyed the mix of crafting the scene as the story unfolded in front of me. And the inclusion of the shadows and characters representing the people involved really brought it to life. Let’s support this type of app so more will be made. I hope some of the big VR blogs like Upload cover this game. It deserves more attention. Happy to pay for future DLC, Devs. Great work.

Please put on Amanda murders or Sharon Tate murder  put on one of those stories. I don’t wanna hear about the Kardashian getting her jewel taken from her. That’s not crafting crimes to me anyway. I am along with many others. Haven’t wait this long to see another crime story so that we look at the Kardashian getting their jewelry stolen. Let them go to the documentary on TV. This is crafting crime. Please do not put on the Kardashian’s. Even though I know you may have to show it. I’ll have to wait. Along with the other who would like to see, any of the other stories. 😢😠😴
