5-Minute Survival Chaos! ⚔️🧟

City of Hunger: Survive throws you into fast-paced, 5-minute survival scenarios—whether it’s the streets or a house—where chaos reigns from the start. The introduction is gripping, dropping you into the action with no mercy, and the weapons feel satisfying, especially the axe for some brutal takedowns. The game shines with quirky, unexpected moments, like a zombie bursting from a belly (a clear Alien nod) then battling it on top of the host himself. With more sets on the way, this early-access gem is fun, varied, and well-executed, making it worth keeping an eye on. If you love short, intense survival challenges, this is a solid pick! 🔥

Impressive graphics. Poor game.

As a display of graphics rendering techniques it's very impressive, but as a game it's terrible. You move at a snail's pace. It's like walking through quicksand. Maybe there's a run button but I haven't found it yet. There's no tutorial. Grabbing objects is hit or miss. Weapons wobble around making aiming very difficult. Two handed weapons wobble like crazy. The tracking is the worst I've ever encountered in my decade of playing VR games. The first area gets old in a hurry. Walking through quicksand in a confined section of a street while hoards of zombies attack from all sides is no fun when aiming is so ridiculously difficult because of the wonky weapon handling. It was a relief when I finally reached the Game Over screen. I would like to see the other levels but it's just too miserable to continue playing at this point. The rendering techniques are the only aspect of this game that are enjoyable. Fire, smoke, lighting effects, are all very impressive. But the graphics are inconsistent and very overdone. At times the visual effects are layered on so thick that the scene turns into a confusing blurry mess. I do recommend taking a look at it, but know what you're getting. For me it's worth the $2 as a graphics demo and a donation to the developer. I hope they can get the gameplay sorted out because this could be pretty awesome.

TALK ABOUT INTENSE!

I bought this game with no video and no information, but for $1.99, I figured I can't turn it down. VERY, VERY INTENSE. This is what a zombie game should be. There are no instructions, no cheats, no help you have to SURVIVE. Nonstop zombie horde. Very dark but has great looking zombies when compared to so many other shooters. It still has work to be done, but for the price it is, and the excitement and thrill of playing it now, it is worth a lot more than $1.99. Changes I would suggest: add a setting to control music, gun and zombie volumes. It was very dark so maybe add a setting to lighten it up a little more instead of using the Quest controls to do this. Parts were a little blurry, like the titles as you dropped from the helicopter. Maybe have a walkie talkie with a connection to the helicopter you were on that the person above is looking for you and helps you know where to go next. A light direction/hint and tip every now and then when stuck or lost. You have some great looking zombies, maybe add a few more that are different, so we are not shooting the exact same ones over and over. Change of hair color/clothing/shoes etc... I can't wait to see what comes next. After posting this I watched a video on YouTube where that player had a blue arrow showing them where to go. My game did not have that. But I did notice that their blue arrows didn't show up until sometime after the timer ran down to zero and they were out or close to being out of bullets.

Good zombie shooter! :)

The graphics are decent! It's a really good old-school arcade style zombie shooter-slasher apocalypse survival horror game! ;)
