FEEL LIKE A REAL NINJA…

Step into the paws of a nimble ninja cat! Dash through enemies, deflect bullets, and master the katana in fast, exhilarating VR combat.

The challenge ramps up gradually. It’s easy to jump in and have fun, but reaching the top requires true mastery of precision, speed, and style.

…AND A RESTAURANT OWNER!

When the sun rises, the fight takes a playful turn. Welcome to Red Flowers Izakaya, a cozy yet chaotic restaurant where quirky guests arrive with big appetites and short tempers.

Cook, serve, upgrade your restaurant, and cause mischief through a variety of lighthearted VR mini-games that keep every visit unpredictable, turning your place into a full VR playground.

A NOD TO LONGTIME FANS

Catana isn’t just about new ideas. It also celebrates its roots. The fan-favorite Time Trial levels from the Red Flowers demo return, reimagined for modern VR.

These speedrun-style challenges pay tribute to the community that supported the game from its very beginning.

CHOOSE HOW TO MOVE

Run like a ninja, or like a cat! Catana now features flexible locomotion options:

  • Parkour-style movement, evolving our best practices from previous games
  • Climbing and bouncing, inspired by Gorilla-likes

ENDLESS REPLAYABILITY

Catana is built for fun, whether you play for a couple of minutes or hours. Test your speed in Time Trial levels, chase high scores, cook up chaos in the Restaurant, or simply enjoy quick VR sessions.

A Frankenstein game

The game was born from the ashes of the Red Flowers demo, which serves as the foundation for this title. The demo is inspired by Ghostrunner, a ninja parkour game (you run here while shaking hands, jump, wall-run, use a grappling hook, dash, etc.). Therefore, I would advise against playing the game for people prone to motion sickness. Catana takes the basics and makes the game more colorful and features a cat as the main character. The game has no story and is contextualized by a cutscene. The majority of the game (80% ) focuses on two main closely linked activities which earn coins : - An Endless mode with a leaderboard (with adjustable difficulty/modifiers) reminiscent of a mobile game. Interesting because it uses the gameplay of Red Flowers, but it quickly becomes tedious and boring, therefore not very engaging. - A restaurant mini-game: fairly solid and basic, but quite uninteresting due to its virtually nonexistent difficulty combined with almost no constraints. The coins earned are used to unlock activities in the restaurant and cosmetic items. The core game design resembles a checklist that requires you to complete repetitive tasks with the sole incentive being to unlock everything. There are also achievements that reinforce this principle. The game is paradoxically saved by a bonus mode (Time Attack), which is a remake of the Red Flowers demo. It consists of ~10-11 hand-crafted linear levels where you have to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible while using parkour and eliminating designated targets. It plays very well, even if it's ultimately quite short. The mode's lifespan is extended if you're aiming for the gold medal (which demands flawless precision and speed) and the presence of a leaderboard might motivate the most competitive players. A major disappointment, then, despite initial curiosity: the game tries to appeal to a wider audience by mixing trendy elements , but this results in a product that blows hot and cold. A shame.

Great to help out testing this game

Yep strange game playing as a cat in two modes a stride mode but some could love the cat mode to move to. you can play a infinity mode where you jump around islands to level up but for the real striders there also the real red flowers part as a time trial find the table and place your pawn on the table to go to a secret place of the older days

Disappointing

Catana seems like it doesn't know what it's trying to be. The cutesy vibrant style clashes with the blood and gore of killing, but then you are unable to actually harm the characters in the village. Between the mobile endless runner gameplay and the food service prep it feels like two unrelated and unpolished janky games awkwardly combined. There are only about 10 actually curated levels most of which last a matter of seconds. Things often feel frustratingly glitchy and unreliable such as the dash attack, grappling, and wall running. This could have been a great game but it needs more work and to be taken in a better direction than just chasing trends.

Great Action + Funny Cooking Experience!

Catana: Red Flowers is a wild Mix of 2 very different Games. First you got a Katana-Parkour-Speedrun-Game, very similiar to Flat-Games like Ghostrunner. Theres multiple Stages to beat. You also get an Endless Mode, with Leaderboards and all. This whole Ghostrunner-like Side of the Game is an absolute Blast. And don't be fooled by the cute Artstyle, as this Gamemode got endless Gore, as you can slice Enemies in Half and such, very much in Contrast to the other Game-Mode. The Movement is fun, fluid and engaging, the Visuals are sharp and Performance is smooth. I just wished there were more Levels, as you can beat them very quickly. Maybe a future DLC can add some more. Would be highly appreciated. On the other Side of the Game you get a Restaurant-Cooking-Game, where you prepare Meals and serve them to hungry Customers. Its well made, has good Animations and funny Interactions. But i gotta say, it's an odd Choice to put those two vastly different Games into One Package. Maybe the Dev should've released them seperated, but as the Price of this Game is so low, i can't complain at all. So whether you like Action Games like Stride or Ghostrunner, or are a Fan of Restaurant-Games that don't take themselves too serious, i'd highly recommend this little Gem, especiallyfor that amazing Price!

Good game but

I like the game but can you add more combat things in it. There is only endless mode and 1 world which is quite short.
