Great game, horrible moderation.

Let me be straight: the game itself is incredible. The devs clearly put effort into it, and the gameplay is genuinely fun and well-made. They take feedback seriously and have kept the game evolving, which is rare and deserves respect. But the moderation team is an absolute train wreck. And I don’t say that lightly. The moderators are some of the worst I’ve ever seen in any game. They act like they’re gods walking among us because they have a little tag next to their name. They don’t care about fairness, community, or common sense—just power, control, and protecting their little clique of friends. If you're not part of their circle? You're treated like trash. They’ll find any excuse to mute, restrict, or straight-up ban you over the dumbest things. People get reported for saying things like “❤️❤️❤️❤️" “aw ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” or “❤️❤️❤️❤️ this” just out of frustration like a normal human being might do in a competitive game. Doesn’t matter if it wasn’t aimed at anyone. Someone will be having a bad day, or trying to look good in front of their mod buddy, and bam—you're reported. And the mods? They eat that up. No questions asked, no context, just punishment. You’d think you were committing war crimes for venting after a tough match. It’s a total abuse of power. Players are constantly walking on eggshells because they know the system is rigged. You can’t speak your mind, can’t get frustrated, can’t even exist outside of their rules without risking some kind of punishment. If you call it out or challenge the favoritism, you’re instantly labeled as “toxic” or “disruptive.” They don’t want a community—they want a fan club that claps for them. There is zero consistency, zero professionalism, and zero accountability with this mod team. It’s honestly insane that the developers allow them to represent the game at all. I’ve seen people silenced for nothing while others get away with blatant harassment just because they’re in the mod's inner circle. It’s disgusting. It kills the vibe, kills the fun, and it drives good players away. I’ll give credit where it’s due—the developers are solid, and the gameplay is excellent. But until the mod team gets wiped and replaced with actual, balanced human beings who understand what moderation is supposed to be, this game will continue to rot from the inside out. If you're thinking about joining, know what you're getting into. The game might pull you in, but the mods will be the reason you leave.

Developers kid

Had a fun time playing this in the past I liked the pvp concept at a tavern and was getting into this game and building my deck. Until one day as I was finishing a match I hear a kid yelling that someone was messing with him mid battle so I come over to see what's happening and this kid rages and calls his dad who I later learned was a dev. His kid whined and cried pointing to the guy then me unexpectedly and was immediately banned for 48 or 72 hours I forget but I didnt like that I was blamed for nothing and had no chance to defend myself from the accusations of a snop nose 8 year old if that . For this its sadly a 2/5

Unfair mods

Was playing a jobless toxic 30 yr old and he was swearing at me and calling me autistic so i started swearing back and then i got banned by a mod passing by not him and it was a perm ban havent been able to play the game since this was 2 yrs ago i even texted them an apology via the mail i was told to text in the ban menu 1 yr ago havent been answered great mods

I wish I liked playing this game

Listen, I have never played MAGIC or anything like it. I didn't think I would enjoy this game all that much, but I was wrong. I really enjoy playing, and it's honestly one of the most consistent games I play. However, I have WAY many more complaints than I do praises. The progression system is awful. Far too slow for a 13+ game, (and I'm 22). You win barely any gold from battles and quests. There are some cards that are just straight up ridiculously OP and can't be beat without spell spamming. The moderation is abysmal. What's the point of Exhaulted servers if you can't swear in non-Exhaulted servers? It's a 13+ game, there is bound to be some language. The fact that someone can just report someone else for the littlest thing and the moderator won't even let you state your case is just victim-biased. I play with my friend who is also my age and we try to create new public lobbies to be by ourselves, (because obviously private lobbies are blocked by a paywall) and someone joins and starts pestering us. Last and certainly not least... the community. I have never met more egotistical, arrogant, snobs in my entire life. At first, I thought people were super helpful. When I had a question as a new player, almost the entire lobby would come to help. With time, I realized they just wanted to boast their superiority over the new players. Once they want to battle you, just know they aren't going to be so nice. I once battled some high ranking player who was sh!t talking me the entire time and when I won he threw a tantrum and reported me. TL;DR The game is good until you play for more than an hour because of the terrible progression, moderation, and community.

The Reason

The Game: Super easy to play and provides incredible amounts of fun. The Atmosphere: If the T.V. show Cheers hosted a Magic the Gathering party. The Content: Plenty of content, especially if you're just starting out. The Community: Everyone is willing to help, and the trouble makers are actually handled in appropriate ways. The Cons: Yesterday I heard a new person say, "I probably won't play this game because I don't like losing." So yea, it's that good.
