In Blobby Tennis you are standing in a relaxing beach scene, controlling a tennis racket and ball. You can do tricks, play the ball back and forth over the net with Blobby or outplay him to score points. Because beach sand isn't very bouncy this is obviously no real tennis, but open ended play with a ball without fixed rules or goals.

Issue

For some reason I uninstalled the game, but I’ve wanted to replay it and whenever I try to install the game, it keeps saying failed install, it finishes installing but then that message appears. Don’t know why and what is causing this to happen because I enjoyed the game.

A Cultural Revelation

This game isn’t just an unfinished, app lab game. This game is a breath of fresh air. An escape from the horrors of our reality. Blobby tennis is a masterpiece. The way the blob goes “hah” when you score, is so beautifully implemented. Not to mention the settings menu is a phenomenal touch. You can adjust your racket angle, as well as turn music off. That’s all you need to do. After that, you can play to your heart’s content. Blobby tennis is the reason I am still here writing this review. Never in my entire life have I experienced such perfection.

So here’s the deal

So first of all con: -This game clearly isn’t finished, but this is app lab, so why would u expect that, this game wanted to be a fun, charming little game and I think it can be, It is janky and the strikes are always to weak or too strong, I played 20 min of this game and I kinda enjoyed it and I did get the hang of it after a while, tho it was still really hard, Pro: -Bouncing the ball on the racket works well, tho the frame of the racket doesn’t have collision -The enemy shoots the ball close to you so you have to move irl which works great - the music and graphics are charming who ever programmed this I would love to volunteer to help with the art design of this game, please finish the game

Garbage

First off, the physics suck. You hit the ball and it goes playing to Antarctica. And when you hit it, it almost seems like it just goes where it wants, not how it should be going. Second, the game is called blobby “tennis” not blobby volleyball but with rackets and a tennis ball. What I mean is instead of living up to the title “tennis” they lived up to “volleyball” by adding a volleyball net instead of an actual tennis net. Lastly, it’s gets boring and doesn’t have a tracker if who’s winning/who’s losing. Overall it’s not the best game, but definitely something I could see getting better I guess.

Tampis Bol

Love it. Anyone hating on this doesn’t understand the simplicity of hitting a ball over a net (or into oblivion) over and over for eternity. Couldn’t ask for more.
