Great for history & app preservation

Very happy Pulse Jet brought this to Meta. I have the old Steam version but it was fairly grainy. I think this new version is the best considering the dated source material. BLACK LAKE hits just as hard as it did when it was at MoMA. I did notice one vertical white line during the entirety of StoneMilker. The white line looks like where they stitched the material together to make it 360 but if that can get patched out would make it more immersive. Thanks Pulse Jet !

Whoa! Bjork and Pulse Jet Studios!

In December 2016 I was lucky enough to be the first to get to experience Bjork Digital at Houston’s Day for Night festival and even got to meet her! She was amazing as was my first foray into the world of VR…now Pulse Jet Studios has remastered and improved on the experience and I am transported back to that incredible weekend. The standout here is Family and just the absolute stunning interactive visuals took my breath away. If you are a fan of Bjork, get ready to have your mind blown! A+!

A Perfect Remastered Experience

Vulnicura was an album that truly helped me to heal from heartbreak. I remember experiencing Björk Vulnicura VR in 2016 in Houston at the Day for Night music festival. This brings it back with even more, including remastered visuals, clearer sound, and enhancements with the use of the Quest 3. I found it wonderful to relive all of this and experience "Quicksand" again as well! The absolute surround effects of the sounds as you turn in a chair is so full and immerses you. Family also hits so fully with the experience of sewing Björk's heart back together with your hands. This is an absolute journey and must-have for any Björk fan!

A deeply personal experience

While I never experienced the original Steam release, as a devoted admirer of Björk's artistry, I found Vulnicura VR - Remastered on the Meta Quest 3 to be a revelatory way to engage with what is perhaps her most emotionally raw and personal album. There's something profoundly different about experiencing Vulnicura's heartbreak through an immersive medium. When multiple senses converge in virtual space, the emotional resonance intensifies in ways that traditional listening simply cannot replicate. The transition to a standalone platform with enhanced visuals allows me to revisit this experience with greater frequency and spontaneity. The original concept remains as innovative today as when it first emerged, arguably ahead of its time then and still boundary-pushing now. I find myself wishing more of Björk's catalog, or works from other visionary artists, would receive similar treatment in VR. This is emphatically not a conventional 3D concert experience. Certain pieces demonstrate remarkable conceptual depth in their visual interpretation, with layers of meaning woven into what's presented. While some of these videos have since appeared online, the difference between viewing them on a screen and inhabiting them in virtual reality is substantial. Regarding audio: I've tested this with both the Quest 3's integrated speakers and premium headphones from Audio-Technica and Sennheiser. I strongly recommend a superior wired audio solution. Bluetooth headphones, even those using the 5.2 standard, introduce noticeable latency in third-party applications that compromises synchronization between visuals and sound. Of Björk's entire body of work, Vulnicura translates most powerfully to an immersive format. Whether you're a longtime admirer or a newcomer seeking something genuinely distinctive in VR, I wholeheartedly recommend this remaster from PulseJet Studios. For those who cherish experiencing albums from start to finish, this is essential.
