Nearly a solid Ace Combat clone
Looking past the terrible voice acting and meaningless dialogue trying too hard to be funny, the game is enjoyable for me. Controls are smooth, dogfighting can be thrilling, and there's a nice selection of planes. But I have some serious issues. For starters, machine guns don't even do damage. They're just there for looks and sounds I suppose. Second, no flares. Have fun dipping and dodging wildly from missiles you can't see until it's too late. Finally, there are enemy AI and models for fighters such as the F-22, F-117, and SU-47 that aren't accessible to the player. This confuses me. If you have the models, variables, damage and flight speed in the game, why limit those aircraft to strictly the AI enemies? I still enjoy playing often, regardless of the flaws. It gives off a genuine Ace Combat feeling, the closest I can get with a Quest. Awesome work by the devs :)
