Fundamentally misleading. This is a demo

Its a great video player with lots of options but the misleading nature of the agreement leads me to not be able to trust the developer with my money. This is a 30 Day DEMO of a video player. I did not know that when I downloaded it. I thought I was evaluating a player with limited options that I could pay to expand. Mabye I'm wrong or mised a dialogue box along the way? If this is how they choose to communicate, who knows when they will decide to change the agreement again?

30 day test? No 5 minutes a day test

30 day test sounded good. It would have been sufficient to test it some days. But the only relevant scenarios (network streaming, usb) can only be tested 5 minutes a day. Does it seem to be good: yes. Does it seem to better than its free competion: no, not from what i have have seen so far. If it was significantly better, i would be willing to pay the asking price. But not with this ridicilous testing policy. Give the people the opportunity to compare and test it adequately if you a really convinced that your app is better and worth it. With this testing policy it just feels like intentionally reducing the time to compare to a point that does not allow to make a qualified conclusion. With other words: it feels like a soft scam. Deleted. Reaction to the devs answer: You don't. The key features (network and usb) can be tested only 5 minutes a day. And in this time span, you just cannot compare it properly. But this kind of communication fits exactly to the perception, that i have described above.

Really good player, but...

One of the best players, but for $30 I expect it to have the features Bigscreen Beta has (which is free) such as inviting friends to watch with me, a wee bit more environments (although I mainly use void), the ability to pull in Youtube, Pluo TV, or any other video source I want without the need to stream from my computer.

passthrough video function of 4xvr

It has to be said that the passthrough video function of 4xvr is really practical! It allows video signals to be presented in the most direct way, retaining the original image quality to the greatest extent while reducing unnecessary delays, bringing an almost native and smooth viewing experience. This is really impressive. In addition to this excellent passthrough function, 4xvr is definitely the best app for watching videos. What really stands out is its paid version - being able to watch 3D Blu-ray ISO files directly without additional conversion is simply fantastic and super convenient! The user experience is smooth and hassle-free, making it my first choice for watching videos. My only small wish is that it could add more optional environments. Moreover, it would be even better if there was a passthrough environment that could darken the surrounding area. Even so, with its existing features, it is still top - tier in my mind. Highly recommended!

Mostly fantastic!

I use this almost exclusively for .iso files since it is the only player for that. In truth if skybox had that option I would use it. The main reason being the theater mode. It doesn't feel anywhere near as immersive as the competition. The other options are ok but the theater needs to feel like a proper theater. Not being able to adjust where you sit front to back is a deal breaker. Adding custom posters is kinda cool but I would rather have an environment that truly tricks my brain. Another thing that needs fixed is playing 3d um titles that offer a POV view. It just doesn't scale right. It is impossible to get it looking as good as other options. I think part of it is the player not selecting the best 3d option itself.
