Wands was awesome!

Some of the things were different than what I expected. But honestly? I was pleasantly surprised!! The people I met online were fun to play with, the spells and level up system is great, all around a really great experience for me! I can't wait to try it on the quest!!! I do have a question for the developers though. All of my experience and playthrough I do here, will it transfer to the quest? Or do I need to start over? I'm fine with either. I'm just curious

First review post Rift release!

The game has had several massive updates since its 2016 release, so pay no attention to older reviews... The most recent update has been phenomenal. They fixed many issues with the game and improved the controls a great deal. The addition of Rift players has so far meant near constant matchmaking when ive been on (mind you time zones obviously are a factor). The game has also increased the immersion with spells like "hail of death." When you get struck by the bolts you can look down and see them stuck in your body for a brief time! Incredible attention to detail for a gear vr game. With 22 spells to choose from and 5 different gorgeous maps, this game never gets old (ive been playing for a whole year, no other game has held my attention this long)! I am constantly trying new spell combinations to find that killer loadout! This is also the only gear vr game ive seen with a "competitive scene." There is a season leaderboard and players duke it out to battle for a coveted top ten spot! Last season the top 100 players were rewarded with an exclusive mask. The devs for this game work 24/7 to make this the best game for vr, are easy to reach on discord to offer suggestions and report bugs, and wands is certainly the only game i know of to release 2 huge updates totally free! The new rift players seem pretty good, but you can disable matchmaking with them if you feel their hardware is an unfair advantage. The game still lacks a single player mode other than the practice basement where you test spells on a dummy, but with the massive playerbase these days i wonder if its even necessary. All in all a fantastic game and i have gotten my moneys worth!

Great game

The game is amazing However you have to wait a lot to get an opponent. And most of the time mismatched due tonthe small number of players. The survival game u play while waiting is boring. I think game vs a bot is needed.

Great game

I got this on sale but I now think it's worth the full price anyway. Since I purchased it I have joined the discord channel, which I suggest everyone does. I just can't stop playing, I just wish the training room was a little bigger and had something that would shoot back to test your defences. One of the veteran players suggested that we explore an arena and cast a spell like demon that will fire at you and test your blocking skills. The players that are on the discord group have been helpful to me with suggestions and encouragement. Most I have met in the lobby have their sound enabled and will chat before a match.

This game really has potential! I hope they can add more spells and arenas, maybe even a 4 player mode or something like that!
