Disappointing and Unprofessional Service

I had high hopes for Innerworld, especially given its initial promise of offering free support groups for mental health issues like depression, anxiety, grief and loss, etc. The free tier provided some great opportunities, with various groups focused on therapeutic practices like DBT. This made me optimistic about signing up for the on year subscription, which cost $119 USD. However, my experience quickly soured when I encountered a simple issue: a spelling mistake in my username. When I reached out to customer support, I was met with outright refusal to assist me. The representative would not clarify which part of my username was misspelled or provide any instructions on how to fix the issue. As a result, I was unable to access the platform I had paid for. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the situation, I was left stranded without support and had no choice but to cancel my subscription. After revisiting the platform, it’s clear that Innerworld has undergone a drastic shift. The subscription price has skyrocketed to $80 USD per month, which amounts to $960 USD for the year (or $1,386.43 CAD for me as a Canadian), compared to the $119 USD annual fee I paid just over a year ago. The free tier has been severely limited, with only a couple of mental health support groups available—currently, there’s a group for healing from narcissistic relationships and a veterans’ group, but both only meet once a month, making them difficult to access. The remaining free content is comprised of talent shows, drawing groups, and a single addictions group, none of which focus on actual mental health support. Crucial mental health groups like those for anxiety and depression are now hidden behind a steep paywall, making them virtually inaccessible, especially for those who are low-income. It’s frankly despicable that a platform that once claimed to offer accessible mental health support is now capitalizing on people’s vulnerabilities at such a steep price. In today’s political climate, where mental health issues are more pressing than ever, it’s deeply troubling to see a service that once provided free help turn into a profit-driven model that prioritizes financial gain over actual support. This platform has gone from a potential lifeline to a costly barrier for those who need help the most. I will not be recommending Innerworld to anyone, and I will be looking for alternatives that genuinely care about people’s mental well-being rather than exploiting it.

Breath of fresh air!

Before discovering Innerworld, I felt as though I was wandering through a vast, empty desert of isolation, completely unaware that solace was merely an arm's reach away. Innerworld served as my oasis, providing a sanctuary where I could connect with others who truly understand the depths of my experience. It's a place where healing begins by simply knowing you're not alone.

The Best App For Mental Health!

Before Innerworld I was a shut-in. I literally laid in bed for days at a time, if not weeks. I was deep in a major depressive episode and couldn’t seem to get out of it. Nothing just seemed to be working for me. The meds - eh. The therapy- eh. I never left my house because of agoraphobia. Since being in Innerworld I have learned how to socialize again. I have begun integrating back into the real world, all be it slowly, but I am. I find myself more outgoing. I’ve made forever friendships here and I would be lost without them. The coaches give amazing support and guidance and help reframe negative thoughts and I am so grateful for that. I’m thriving for the first time in a long time and it’s all thanks to Noah and this world he made.

Don’t be duped

This is a research program. Ethically they should be compensating you, even if that simply means free use. Instead they charge more than apps with actual content. I joined a guided meditation that was a really boring recording. The host literally left and no one was there by the time it was done. They use your data or kick you out of the app, and force surveys. I wonder if all the five star reviews are from staff because there was no one participating…like at all. The place was empty. Don’t give away your time, data, and participation for free.

Not true to its objective has no purpose

Sadly innerworld does not do what it says it does. It has very strict guidelines that completely stop you for talking about anything meaningful and engaging. Not only that they even stop you from talking about other apps, politics, or anything that provocative or engaging.. Sadly the admins are hypocrites they say you can be yourself when in reality you can't.. While the app has alot of potential Sadly its not true to its purpose it seems to be more interested in making money and its own interest then really tackling the problem of mental health and helping people... The only real benifit is the social aspect and the safe space as its not a gaming app in any way so now that I've said that the app loses all value.. the app also has an eerie feel to it, you feel half safe half as if you have a thousand eyes silently judging you. I have been singled out and felt rejected because of very suttle behaviour changes that I've noticed while using the app and interacting with the users and they never tell you directly what the problem is! For example.. I've tried to engage in meaningful conversations that just get dismissed for litterally no logical reason. Despite them being very educational and well intended.. I've tried to create positive quotes and art that get deleted the minute I leave the room. While for other stay up unopposed.... When I enter innerworld where before I was greeted with a "hello welcome" I am now ignored with an eerie silence.... I've said to the guide "bambi" that I enjoy speaking with her.. to my shock I never saw her again! Some of the reasons I joined the app was to improve my social skills engage in conversations with different people around the world. And hopefully be in a community where I would be accepted. Unfortunately the guides and moderators that govern this app have not allowed me to achieve that goal. Not once was I asked about how i feel or was any attempt made to help me feel engaged or improve my mood instead there is a form of suttle bias.. thats very damaging where others are treated completely different to you. However the strange behaviours and actions despite being very suttle have made it very clear I'm not welcome on the app. I'm very confused they say the app is a safe space to help people that "you can be yourself" and "express how you feel" but I feel unwanted disliked and rejected despite doing my best to abide by the many strict guidelines implemented on the app and be kind loving and constructive. I'm very very sad because I believe the app had a good cause and the potential to help many people. what's worse is I now feel even less confident and more insecure then before. When I tried to confront them about what i was experiencing I was banned with no faire explication.
